Visualisations

One of my first assignments at university is the design 101 'visualisations' project. This assignment involves the ideation and creation of 3 posters, each coming with specifications concerning media types, materials and colours. In comparison to work I have done in the past, this took me outside my comfort zone, forcing me to critically think about aesthetical principles rather than functionality. On top of this, all of our works had to relate to a haiku chosen by us at the start of the project, making us think about the deeper meaning of the poem. Browsing through abstract works on pintrest, I was able to relate some of my art design thinking to my haiku, resulting in a mountain theme. It has been a learning curve taking my design into an art theme, but I have enjoyed the unique challenge. #des101 #poster
