One of my favourite projects was to work with Auckland Cricket to ideate and design a concept cricket pavilion. With cricket being my favoured sport, it wasn't difficult to come up with specifications for this design. I contacted the CEO of Auckland Cricket and we both went about brainstorming every detail the Western Springs Space had to offer, looking at its bowl type shape and the access ways it had for patrons. In the end, I came up with a building centred around the players, instead of fans. This meant adding essential features like large changing rooms, viewing areas and practice areas to cater for their needs. Overall this is my favourite project to date based on the fact that I combined design with sport to create a functional space.
